October 02, 2024, São Paulo: IHS Brazil, part of the IHS Holding Limited (NYSE: IHS) (“IHS Towers”) group, one of the largest independent owners, operators and developers of shared communications infrastructure in the world by tower count, and I-Systems, a specialist in shared fiber optic networks, will be exhibiting and presenting at Futurecom, the largest connectivity, innovation and technology event in Latin America, from October 8 to 10 at São Paulo Expo, São Paulo.
To demonstrate their infrastructure capabilities, the companies will exhibit a model representing the surroundings of a subway station with various connectivity solutions integrated. The solutions will include Distributed Antenna System (DAS) - a connected solution that transfers signals indoors from mobile network operators, ensuring continuous connectivity in high-traffic locations; Fiber to the Office (FTTO) - a neutral optical network infrastructure solution aimed at offering high-quality corporate broadband services; and Fiber to the Home (FTTH) - a neutral optical network designed to meet demands for high-speed residential broadband.
The model will also feature the Build-to-Suit (BTS) Rooftop - a set of communication towers installed on rooftops with low visual impact, designed to improve connectivity in densely urbanized areas, and sites camouflaged in urban furniture such as park benches and planters with built-in connectivity that discreetly integrate communications infrastructure into the urban environment.
Executives from IHS Brazil and I-Systems will also be discussing connectivity trends during the following panels and sessions.
Farès Nassar, SVP, Head of IHS Latam, commented, “Futurecom 2024 is one of the main forums for discussing the future of connectivity and the infrastructure needed to enable the advancement of 5G and neutral networks in Brazil and Latin America. The presence of IHS Brazil and I-Systems at the event reinforces our commitment to improving the quality of urban life through the provision of innovative communications infrastructure”.
