8 March 2016; Kigali, Rwanda: IHS Holding Limited (“IHS”), the largest mobile telecommunications infrastructure provider in Africa, Europe and the Middle East, is proud to co-sponsor, through its Rwandan subsidiary IHS Rwanda Limited, Rwanda’s first Global Women’s Summit taking place today in Kigali.
The summit’s theme is “Towards Vision 2020, Women Leading Innovative Transformation” and aims to foster collaboration on personal development, leadership, entrepreneurial solutions and motivational tools for career and business growth. The summit will form part of Rwanda’s International Women’s Day celebrations.
Over 1000 Global Women’s Summits are organised worldwide every year, however this is the first of its kind to take place in Rwanda. The Summit’s mission is to strengthen women and their families through education, empowerment and entrepreneurship in order to eradicate illiteracy, poverty and hunger in every nation.
As part of the inaugural event, five female staff members from the IHS Rwanda team will attend and participate in the day-long panels and discussions.

The summit is being brought to Rwanda by KORA Associates, New Faces New Voices Rwanda Chapter and the IFC World Bank Group.
